Manufacturing & Compliance
Manufacturing
At Uniform Group, we operate a fully vertically integrated supply chain owning and managing both our design and manufacturing facilities. Our own factory in Ningbo, China, established in 2010 and now home to 241 employees, gives us complete control over every step of the process, from concept through to final delivery.
This end-to-end ownership ensures we deliver the highest standard garments every time with access to premium yarns, consistent colour, high-performance standards, superior fit, and contemporary designs. All garments and processes are continually tested and reviewed to meet the highest standards in the school uniform market.

All suppliers are required to meet stringent checks in accordance with our auditing process and must operate in line with our Code of Conduct and Ethical Sourcing Policy. This ensures that your school not only looks great but can also feel confident in the way your uniforms are produced.

Social Responsibility
Sustainability

THE APPAREL INDUSTRY IS ONE OF THE LARGEST CONTRIBUTING INDUSTRIES TO CLIMATE CHANGE GLOBALLY – PRODUCING MORE CARBON EMISSIONS THAN ALL INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AND MARITIME SHIPPING, EQUIVALENT TO THE ANNUAL EMISSIONS OF FRANCE, GERMANY AND THE UK COMBINED. UNIFORM GROUP IS ACTIVELY IMPROVING THE CARBON IMPACT OF OUR PRODUCTS – FOR OUR PEOPLE, OUR CHILDREN AND THE PLANET.
The average Australian discards 23 kilograms of clothing into landfill each year – enough to fill Sydney Harbour annually. A single cotton t-shirt and one pair of pants require approximately 20,000 litres of water to produce, with apparel responsible for 20% of the world’s global wastewater.
Uniform Group is on a continuous journey to reduce the environmental and social footprint of the uniform industry. We are focused on sustainable programs and practices that support both People and the Planet – including human rights impact assessments, anti-slavery and ethical sourcing initiatives, and recycling programs.
Our commitment to sustainability goes hand in hand with responsible sourcing. 93% of brands globally do not pay garment workers a living wage – a statistic we actively work against. We ensure all suppliers fairly compensate their employees in line with the national laws of the countries in which they operate.
Community Actions

At the heart of Uniform Group are our values of Trust, Care, Innovation, and Community.
We are committed to safe, responsible business practices that reflect the standards of our customers and communities. We require all employees to undergo a Police Check and hold a current Working with Children Card, with bi-annual audits conducted as part of our ongoing commitment to child safety.
Uniform Group proudly supports the wider education community. We’ve contributed more than $500,000 over the past six years to educational associations working to improve learning and teaching outcomes.
We are committed to good corporate behaviour, both in Australia and internationally. Our policies and procedures set high ethical benchmarks across every part of our business - not only for our directly employed staff but for any partner company involved in our supply chain.

Uniform Group is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Rotary: Donations In Kind, an organisation dedicated to providing essential goods to those in need across the globe. As part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility and supporting our community, we have decided to donate our surplus/NCP school uniform stock to Rotary Donations In Kind. Through this collaboration, we will be able to ensure that these items reach children in need, providing them with the opportunity to attend school with the necessary resources. Rotary Donations In Kind is volunteer run and works tirelessly to distribute donated goods to areas facing hardship, helping improve the lives of individuals and families across the world.
